About this deal

Choose from either Fever Tree Spiced Orange Ginger Ale, Fever Tree Madagascan Cola or Fever Tree Ginger Ale. Award-winning Merser Double Barrel Rum captures the best rums of the Caribbean, from Barbados, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica aged up to 12 years, which is then blended in the heart of London and left to “marry” in barrels for a further 6 months. On the nose, you will find an alluring vanilla sweetness with flashes of vibrant tropical fruit and a wonderful toasty oak character. Personally I’m a fan of full-bodied “Navy style” multi-island blends with rums from Barbados, Jamaica and Guyana, but I just tried two brands in one week ( Golden Heist Rum and this one) that contain rums from Dominican Republic, Barbados and Jamaica and I’m not hating it.

A smooth and layered balance of fine Caribbean rums aged up to eight years, harmonised and rested for six weeks in London. hails from the Hayman family (yes, the same folks behind Hayman's Gin), and is London's first rum blending house in over a century! Double Barrel rum is a blend of blends where all the components perfectly complement each other by building layers of flavour and complexity. I’m my personal opinion, a smooth good quality rum which does not disappoint on the high street is - diplomatico or don papa! Elegant, distinctive and wonderfully smooth, its personality will shine through with your mixer of choice. The dimpled bottle represents the Thames on which the rum was carried, while the logo of the hunting dog sitting on a pole refers to the days when most Londoners could not read and followed symbols to find their way towards the merchant houses.

Merser Signature combines the finest rums from Barbados, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Trinidad that have been aged for up to 8 years.

Award-winning Merser seeks out the world’s finest rums, then blends them in London to bring out their individual characteristics in perfect harmony. The bottle represents more than meets the eye too, with the dimpled bottle representing the River Thames on which rum was transported, while the hound and post logo is a little nod to the days when most Londoners couldn't read, and would follow symbols to find their way to merchant houses. Sophisticated, complex and suprisingly dry, it is excellent in an Old Fashioned, ideal over ice or on its own. You should also note that the picture images show only our serving suggestions of how to prepare your food - all table accessories and additional items and/or ingredients pictured with the product you are purchasing are not included. Charles Merser source rums from across the Caribbean which are then expertly blended in London, restoring the capital's long lost history in blending the spirit. Not a bad rum to enjoy in the evening with a friend, when you don't want to bring out the really good stuff! While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it is accurate, it is not a substitute for your reading the product packaging and label prior to use.
